FALSE: Although Modoc the elephant was spotted on the farm of Jesse Roscoe McDaniel toward the end of her 5-day jaunt across Wabash and Huntington counties, there is no evidence he was injured during the chase. A local farmer, Kenneth Kindley, was badly injured when he walked up to Modoc and attempted to lead her by her trunk.
TRUE: According to WikiTree, we are descendants of the Scottish Clan Mac Donald of Dunnyveg. We are also descended from the original Clan Donald. Our family name and/or clan name has evolved over the years from “Mac Dhomhnaill” (Gaelic) to "MacDonald" (Scottish) to "MacDonnell" (Irish) to "McDaniel" (Americanized)
